Account book, 1744-1761, for the settlement of the estate of Abraham Keteltas of New York City. Includes a detailed inventory of his estate, including household goods, shop inventory (hardware and tools), and bonds and cash. Additionally records debits and credits for the estate following the death of Keteltas in 1744, including payment of taxes, annual payments to his widow Jane Keteltas and their two sons Abraham and John, and expenditures for the construction and maintenance of a new family home. Also recorded are numerous payments made for work performed by both free and enslaved African American laborers.
